Our condolences to the Downes family.  We are very sorry for the loss of Tom.  He certainly had a full life of service.

I am very sorry to hear about Tom's passing. He was a great person. I knew him a long time ago when he was a student in Albertus. He was a pleasure to know with a smile always on his face. Tom will be missed. My condolences to his family.

I was very sorry to learn of Tom's death. I remember him as a true human being and a great sports fan. We lost contact after I stopped coaching but I never forgot our great post game analyses.  Rest in peace my friend.

Great memories of growing up in the old neighborhood..... there was always some sport being played on the street.  Condolences to the entire Downes family. Tommy will live on through everyone's wonderful memories.

There truly was never, and will never be another neighbor like Tom. My children, Vienna and Matthew will miss his teasing and the ice cream he always bought them when the ice cream truck came by. Jeff and I will miss his advice- helping improve our lawn's appearance. We will miss seeing him water the flowers he meticulously cared for, as well as seeing him sit on his front porch- always ready to fend off suspicious characters, pooping dogs and to just wave hello.  We were lucky to have known him and we want to give the whole Downes family our most sincere sympathy and love.
