Thomas Michael Ernst of New City, NY, 55, died on February 23, 2015. He was born on November 30, 1959 to Dolores and Fred Ernst. He graduated from Northern Valley Old Tappan High School and received an Associate’s Degree from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. He married the love of his life Jeanne in 1985. Tom was an avid Mets and Giants fan. Tom's greatest passion was in the kitchen. Those who had the opportunity to taste his wondrous creations understood what an amazing master chef he was. Tom is survived by his sisters: Barbara Hartman, Ginnie Sheinman, Helene Ernst and brothers: Ray Ernst and Chris Ernst. In addition, Tom has many nieces and nephews: Ehren, Allison, Melissa, Matthew, Lindsay, Taylor, and Grayson. Last but not least his beloved Yorkshire Terriers, Bonnie and Clyde, will miss him.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4-8pm at Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY. Mass will be held on Thursday, 10am, at St. Augustine’s Church, New City.
