Thomas Daniel Kossomedes Sr., passed away on November 15, 2011 at the age of 62. Thomas was born in the Bronx, NY on April 14, 1949 to Gustav and Elizabeth (nee Brawley) Kossomedes. He lived in New City, NY for 30 years, prior from the Bronx, NY. Thomas worked as a Custodial Engineer for the Board of Education in New York City for over 30 years. He was a member and Sergeant of Arms of the NYC Board of Education American Legion Post 1088. Thomas was devoted to his family, work, and community and will be missed by all who knew him. Thomas is survived by his devote wife, Joanne (nee Keogh); his two sons Timothy and Thomas; and his 2 cousins Suzanne Bicknell and Jean Marie Malm and their families. He is predeceased by his sister Christine. Viewing will be held on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 at Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, 10am, at St. Augustine's Church, New City, NY followed by burial at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Nanuet, NY.
