

Thomas Letizia a long time resident of New City, NY, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2016 with his loving wife Marie by his side. Tom was born on May 1, 1928 to Adeline and Angelo Letizia in Bronx, NY. Tom achieved many things in his life. He served in the United States Army in the Korean War. He was proud of being a Masonic Brother in Wyoming Lodge, No. 342 F. & A. M. He owned Eastchester Hudson Service Station with his brothers. Tom's true love of music could be seen in everything he did. Along with his brothers and sister he played the trumpet in the band called the Five Sharps. He was an accomplished musician and piano tuner. He loved to play the piano and entertain everyone. He owned Letizia Music Store in the Bronx. He was a partner with his brother, Ronnie at Skate Key Roller Rink in the Bronx. He loved photography, especially taking photos of the family. He also was an avid ham radio operator. Tom was not intimidated by anything, trying and mastering many things in his life and living life to the fullest.
Tom is survived by his wife of 61 years Marie and his three devoted children Arlene (Norman), Thomas (Claudia), Michael and daughter-in-law Regina. He has 7 grandchildren, Erica, Michael, Thomas, Carl, Emily, Anthony and Angela, and 3 great-grandchildren, Ava, Ryan and Carson. He is also survived by his brothers, Gil of Lawrenceville, Georgia, Larry of New City and Ronnie of Mamaroneck and numerous nieces and nephews. He has a large and loving extended family that he treasured. He is predeceased by his parents,brothers, Steve, Gabe and his sister, Jean.
Family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday from 4 - 9pm at Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY. Funeral Mass at St. Augustine Church, New City, NY followed interment at Frederick Loescher Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spring Valley, NY.
