Thomas F. Vance

Thomas F. Vance, of New City, NY, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2012. Thomas was born on June 15, 1934 in Bronx, NY to Thomas and Mary Vance. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy and had a great love for his country. Thomas will always be remembered by his family for his unwavering love and devotion.

Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Elizabeth, and his children Michael (Kerrie), Joanne (Brian), and Kevin (and his fiancée KC). He will be greatly missed by his three grandchildren -Emily, Ella, and Taylor. Thomas is also survived by his sister Virginia Mutchler and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Nancy Vance.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 30 from 2- 4pm and 6:30-9pm at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 31 at 10am at Church of St. Augustine, New City, NY followed by interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY. Donations can be made in Thomas's name to the American Heart Association or the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation .
