Tracey Anne O’Keeffe Ramponi, 39, of New York, NY passed away on September 22, 2018. This was sudden, unexpected and has left all who loved Tracey, absolutely heartbroken. Tracey was born on August 28, 1979 to Sean and Maureen O’Keeffe of Thiells, NY. Tracey married the love of her life, Laurence Ramponi, on May 6, 2017. Larry gave Tracey the best gift she could ever wish to receive when they welcomed their daughter, Neave Mary, on July 10, 2018. Neave was the light of Tracey’s life. Tracey loved that little girl with everything she had and was a better mother to Neave in those two short months than most women will be in a lifetime.
Tracey devoted her life to caring for others and fulfilled her calling with her career as a registered nurse at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan. In addition to helping others while at MSK, Tracey volunteered her free time with Medical Missions for Children on multiple medical missions to South America, Africa and Asia, providing care to the less fortunate in this world.
In addition to her husband, daughter, and parents Tracey is survived by her sisters Shannon and Kelly O’Keeffe (New York, NY); her mother-in-law Dolores Brayne and her husband Winston (Pompano Beach, FL); her father-in-law Laurence Ramponi (Sparkhill, NY); her brother-in-law Michael Ramponi and his wife Lauren (New City, NY); and her sister-in-law Claudia Reynolds and her husband Michael (Tappan, NY); and her five nieces and nephews. Tracey is also survived by countless aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved her and will miss her dearly.
If you are looking for a way to remember Tracey the family asks you to light a candle in her honor. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to a college fund for Neave set up by Tracey’s MSK family (https://www.gofundme.com/college-fund-for-neeve) or to Medical Missions for Children (mmfc.org) in Tracey’s name.
Family will receive friends on Thursday from 5-9pm and Friday from 4-9pm at Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, 11:15am, at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church, Garnerville, NY, followed by burial at St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Nanuet, NY.
