Violet M. Romanski

Violet Romanski was born on February 9, 1917 to Ignatius and Josephine of Montvale, NJ.She married Nicholas Romanski and resided in New City, Violet worked at Lederle Labs in Pearl River for 31 years before retiring in 1970.

She was an avid gardener, knitter, and crocheter, and in later years donated afghans to veteran organizations and to SPCA in Rockland County.

She was a member of St. Augustine Church and a member of St. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Church of Spring Valley. She was a member of AARP and St. Ann’s and the Senior Club of St. Peter and Paul. Violet was predeceased by her parents, her husband and brothers Edmund J. and Emil Moderacki. She is survived by nieces and nephews Edmund A. Moderacki of Washington Township, NJ., Barbara Yarbrough of Flagstaff, Arizona, Laura Moderacki of Bardenton, Florida and John Moderacki also of Bradenton.

Family will receive friends on Monday 2-5pm at Higgins Funeral Home New City, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday 10am St. Augustine Church New City, NY. Interment to follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery Nanuet, NY.
