

Virginia (Jean) Pocalyko, 85, died July 26, 2014. Born in Palmerton, PA on April 9, 1929, Virginia was a resident of New City, NY for 23 years before retiring to Toms River, NJ with her husband Stan. She recently returned to Rockland County, residing in Dowling Gardens, and Tappan Zee Manor. She was an avid NY Yankees and NY Giants fan, who thoroughly enjoyed dancing and playing tennis. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Best known as Jean, Virginia is survived by her four children and their spouses: Daniel Pocalyko, Tucson, AZ; Patrick & Judy Pocalyko, New City, NY; Vincent & Jeanne Pocalyko, Devon, PA; Nicholas & Marybeth Pocalyko, Longmont, CO. In addition, she is also survived by her sister and brother in law, Susie & Thomas Babyak, her beloved Grandchildren: Patrick & Julie Pocalyko, Bryan & Laura Pocalyko, Jonny & Beth Pocalyko, Allyson & Arnold Fucci, Jenna & Ryan Bonshock, Joey Pocalyko, and Kevin, Kyle and Jason Pocalyko, as well as her five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Stanley Pocalyko, and daughter in law, Linda Pocalyko.
Visitation is Tuesday, July 29, 2-4, and 7-9pm. A private burial will be held in Toms River, NJ on Wednesday.
