Virginia Lee Stoeter

She was born on January 1, 1933 in Washington,DC to Herman and Johanna Mehring. Virginia later moved to New City, completing her education at Street School and Haverstraw High School. She was employed by Provident Savings Bank for over thirty years. She was married to William A Stoeter for 60 years. Following retirement, they moved to West Exeter, NY and enjoyed many years together in their gardens and spending time with family. Virginia was involved in the local Garden Club and West Exeter Volunteer Fire Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by two daughters Cyndi (Mike) Cuddy and Sandy(Richie) Toll, along with three grandchildren, William, Thomas and Caroline Cuddy. Additionally, she is survived by a sister,Gertrude Tillett, along with numerous nephews and nieces, including her nephew Eric Meyer and wife Mary of Burlington Flats,NY, who held a particularly special place in her life. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband,William and her sister, Gladys Meyer.

She cherished her time spent with family, especially with her grandchildren, who all have made her very proud.

Family will receive guest on Wednesday, January 29th from 4-8pm at Michael J Higgins Funeral Home; 321 South Main St. New City, NY. Inurnment will be on Thursday, January 30th at 11am in St.Paul's Highview Cemetery.
