William Cosgrove

William J Cosgrove, 84, of New City, NY peacefully passed away on November 8,2022. Bill was a devout Catholic and huge family man. He was born April 5,1938 in Queens, NY to Ellen and Owen Cosgrove. He was a beloved brother to Noreen Ferriter, Maureen McCarthy (predeceased), Catherine Meacham (predeceased) and Owen Cosgrove.

Bill was a loving uncle to Erin/Matt Colwell, Kieran/Maureen McCarthy, Tara/William Hines, Brian/Jennifer McCarthy, John/Eileen McCarthy, Shannon/Thomas Muldowney, Kevin/Catherine McCarthy, Owen Thomas/Holly Meacham, Deirdre/Tim Fay, Owen Francis/Janelle Cosgrove, Keagan/Jenny Meacham, Meaghan/David Nadeau, KerryEllen/Robert Hart and Ryan/Jennifer Cosgrove and 37 great nieces and nephews.

William was an accomplished educator in the Clarkstown School District for over 30 years. He received his bachelor's degree from Iona College and went on to receive additional master's degrees.

William will be sadly missed as the Cosgrove family Patriarch and his deep love for his Irish roots. He was an avid skier and golfer.
