William Jacob Hessler passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on January 16th, 2025 at the age of 59 years old. Born on May 25th, 1965, in Buffalo NY, he was the son of Richard and Gretchen Hessler. He was raised in New City, NY, graduated from Clarkstown South High School in 1983 and went on to work as a salesman in the construction industry. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, long walks with his dog, and skiing with his children.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Christine, his daughter Carly Hessler, his son Jacob Hessler, and Jake's fiancé Sophia. Also left to cherish his memory include his mother Gretchen Hessler, his sister Kathleen Scherer, Kathy’s husband Paul, and his niece Jessica Scherer. He cherished the time spent with his family, especially his children whom he was very proud of.
A wake will be held on Friday January 24th from 4pm to 8pm at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 7pm. Flowers can be sent to Higgins Funeral Home at 321 South Main Street New City, NY.
