My dear cousine, 
I’m so heartbroken and devastated by your passing. I can’t believe that I will never hear you call me “mouche” or “Lilly liver” anytime you say something to me in Spanish and I answer you in English. I find myself thinking about you all the time, whenever Tom & Jerry comes on the television, or anytime I hear a Spanish song on the radio. I know sometimes we didn’t get along but that was part of being family. I remember the first day you came to live with us, I felt like I had gained an older sister and boy did we fight like sisters!! I will never forget your advices, your giggle, your laugh whenever I say or do something funny or when we would gossip about the elders in our family. I pray that you sleep in peace and finally get the eternal love that you yearned and deserved! Te quiero ❤️

My dear dear cousin, 
My heart is broken and I don't know if it will heal. So sudden cuz?? There are so many things I did not get to share with you! This wound is DEEP. I will never ever ever ever forget you! The times we've had together both good and bad! I will always miss your blunt truths, said with a joke & some laughter. I miss hearing "vava I left your food on the stove" the minute I turn the key in the door coming home from work. You encouraged me from day 1 to finish while I struggled through nursing school. I'll always remember being so happy for simply passing an exam and you would reply with " but vava, why didn't you get 100%?? I know you will next time". Little did you know how much that pushed me to aim higher. We were just laughing on the phone Saturday! My mind will never comprehend this huge loss. My solace is in knowing that you're in a far better place than here, no longer suffering in this world.   I love you my dear cousin with all of my heart. I will look forward to the day where I can hear your sweet voice call me "vava" ( which I never really liked but never minded when you said it). I appreciate everything you've done for me even if you felt it was too small or never enough, it was always in abundance. I love you. 
PS. You're still the best cook in this family!!!!!
