

Yves Montissol was born on September 11, 1963, in Jacmel, Haiti, to his mother, Marie Melicia Montissol, affectionately known as Manmie Soule. He cherished his roots and culture, especially celebrating at Fèt Chanpèt, one of his favorite festivals in his hometown.
On May 31, 1997, Yves moved to Rockland County, New York, where he built a meaningful life and career. He dedicated 23 years as an endoscopy technician at Good Samaritan Hospital, earning respect for his commitment and work ethic. Yves was accomplished and multilingual, speaking English, Spanish, French, and Haitian Kreyòl.
Yves truly loved life and had a passion for traveling, embracing new experiences and cultures wherever he went. He found joy in life’s simple pleasures, spending quality time with family and friends, watching sports, and listening to music. He had a distinct sense of style and was rarely seen without one of his signature hats. Known for his warmth, generosity, and sense of humor, Yves had a way of leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met.
He was a devoted father, husband, brother, and friend, above all, a truly remarkable person who loved deeply and lived fully.
Yves is survived by Karaine Montissol, Yves Fils Montissol, Fabiola Montissol, Nadege Dorival Montissol, Nathan Ake, Marie Appolon, Michel Montissol, Wladimir Montissol, Camousse Montissol, Emanuel Lolo, Magalie Fonvil Lolo and the rest of his beloved family and friends.
