Born on November 6, 1939, Ann spent her entire life in Minnesota, where she was raised on a farm and learned early what it meant to work hard and stay busy. Those values stayed with her throughout her life.
She was never one to sit still for long, and there was always something that needed tending, fixing, or finishing. She loved being outside, especially in her garden, and took pride in her flower beds, where she was still working right up until the end.
Ann also had a competitive streak and a sharp eye when it came to cards. She loved a good game and wasn’t easy to beat, bringing both focus and a bit of humor to the table. She enjoyed going to shows and never turned down a trip to the casino.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Jorgenson, and her brother, Richard Waletzko.
She is survived by her son, John (Teresa) Rupkalvis; granddaughter, Janelle (Austin) Bartlett; grandson, Grant (Aaron Ray) Rupkalvis; brother, Robert (Linda) Waletzko; and many nieces and nephews.
Ann will be remembered for her independence, her love for her garden and flower beds, and the way she always kept herself busy. She leaves behind a family who will think of her in the stories that will continue to be told, and around the card table where she was never easy to beat.
No services will be held at this time.
