
Anthony Clifford Williams, affectionately known as “Tony” passed away July 18, 2026, at the age of 73 in Minneapolis, MN. He was born in Cape Girardeau Missouri raised by his mother Ernestine Willams and his father Anthony Josh Williams and shaped by the love and the guidance of his grandmother Louise Bedell. Her influence instilled in Tony a lifelong commitment to faith, family and service.
Tony was educated in the Cape Girardeau School District, graduating from Cape Central High School in 1972 and afterwards joining the United States Navy. He received the National Defense Service Medal and was honorably discharged in April 1974. He retired as Facility Manager of the Twin City Orthopedic Center in Minneapolis MN.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his children; Anthony “Shawn” (Toya) Vann of Edmond, OK; Antwainia (Anthony) Odomes of Cape Girardeau, MO; Antiliyah Williams of Minneapolis MN, his grandchildren Brendan Williams of Alahambra, CA; Shirayha Vann of Boca Raton, FL; Anthony “Jawone” Vann and Jarrone Vann of Edmond, OK along with two great grandchildren. He is also mourned by his sister Phyllis Williams and brother Robert (Debra) Williams of Shreveport, LA. In addition, his aunt Connie Bedell and his uncles Chris Bedell and Paul Bedell and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Tony’s legacy of faith, service, love and honest guidance will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
