Barbara Kommers

Age 61, of North Mpls. Died March 22, 2013 following a brief struggle with cancer. She enjoyed a 34-year career with Hennepin County retiring in 2008 as a Senior Probation Officer. Barbara was an adventurous world traveler having visited Europe, China, India, Argentina, and Antarctica, along with a number of Caribbean cruises.

She is survived by her siblings, Annette C. (Ed) Foertsch, Hackensack, MN, Fr. Thomas M. Kommers, Red Wing, MN, and Cynthia M. Kommers, Maplewood, MN, nieces and nephews, Mark (Stacey) Foertsch, Lorrie (Pat) Kopp, Becky Becker, Lisa (Mike) Eichenauer, David (Erica) Foertsch, and Carrie Johnson, 13 great nieces and nephews, 1 great-grand niece 2 great-grand nephews, Aunt Sandy Buck, many cousins and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, Raymond L. and Elizabeth A. (Buck) Kommers.

VISITATION will be held on Saturday, May 11th from 10 a.m. until Noon at the Church of St. Vincent De Paul, 9100 93rd Ave. No., Brooklyn Park (Osseo) MN, with the MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL at Noon. Barbara wanted everyone attending to wear bright colors.
