Carol J. Sykora, age 87, of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota passed away on Friday, April 8, 2022. Carol was preceded in death by her daughter Sharon, her twin brother Darrell "Bud" Fuecker, and sisters Jean and Pat.
She is survived by her husband Kenneth, their four children: Sue Ommen, Joe (Debby) Sykora, Patty (Mike) Marsh, and Greg (Julie) Sykora. 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; and her three siblings Fred (Nancy) Fuecker, Rick (Cindy) Fuecker, and Robert Fuecker
Beloved wife, sister, mom, grandma and great grandma and friend, Carol was a loving and faithful woman who lived life to the fullest and greeted each day with enthusiasm. She grew up in Cold Spring, Minnesota and was a graduate of St. Boniface. Carol was a stay at home mom for many years until taking her dream job in the activities department at North Ridge Care Center. After her retirement, she spent time on some of her favorite hobbies which included knitting, sewing, ceramics and bingo. She had a passion for antiquing and collecting dolls. From her new viewpoint in Heaven, she will be watching over us all as our Guardian Angel. She has now gone to be with God; however, her spirit will live on as a treasured memory forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of life gathering for Carol will be held Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Kapala Glodek Malone Funeral Home, 7800 Bass Lake Rd, New Hope, MN 55428.
