Dale worked and operated a lawn care and snow removal service, and he enjoyed being outside while he worked. His customers always felt cared for, and they appreciated his friendly presence. Dale was a huge Vikings football fan. While he never attended a game, he cheered from afar wearing his Vikings sweatshirt and jerseys. Dale enjoyed country music, specifically the music his father listened to: Johnny Cash, Kenny Rogers, Willie Nelson, and Dolly Parton. His love of cats has been a part of who Dale was his entire life. His love of cats started with his childhood cat, Puff, then grew with his cat, Fluffy, and his final furry friend, Tammy. Dale was the kind of friend everyone wanted. He was always willing to help out his friends with rides, food, and lots of meals shared at the VFW. His unwavering kindness and dedication inspired us and left a legacy of compassion. We are profoundly grateful for the lasting impact Dale has had on our lives.
Dale was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy, and his parents, Marie and Roy Nelson.
Dale is dearly missed by his sister, Donna (Greg) Cabana; his brother, David (Teresa); his niece, Kelly (Brandon) White; his nephews, Cory (Crystal) Cabana, Matt (Sherri) Nelson, Benjamin (Alexis) Nelson, Jonathan Nelson; and many other family members and friends.
