Donald Wright Glew

September 27, 1923 - December 18, 2016.

Born in Delhi, Iowa. Preceded in death by his parents, Ray & Estella Glew; and brothers, Leonard, Lawrence, & Erwin. He worked as a farmer and insurance agent. Don and Mera's true calling was God's ministry through their work with Boy’s Brigade, Gideons, The Glew Factory, missions in the Philippines and SW Indian School, MPCC and finally sharing his faith and music at Lake Minnetonka Shores Care Center.

Survived by Loving Wife of 67 years, Mera; Sons, Ray (Jan) and Duane (Pat); Daughter, Lona (Kelly) Shaughnessy; Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren, Jen Brady (Paul), Jack and Emma, Kate Boler (Jonathan), Matthew, Scott Glew (Tiffani) Natalie and Walden, Anna Urso (Jason), Layth, Colin Shaughnessy(Elisha)Finn & Declan, Kerri Shaughnessy(Ryan Rekuski)Lilly&Evie,Erin Murray (Patrick)Keelin,Peter, Kiara & one on the way,and Michael Shaughnessy.

He peacefully joined his Saviour for Christmas.

The family wishes to thank the caregivers at LMSCC and his MPCC family for their care, support and friendship.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Maple Plain Community Church, 1815 Budd Avenue North on Saturday, December 31st. Gathering of friends and family at 11:00 am and service at 12:00 pm.
