Dorothy Field
February 16, 1925 – February 23, 2022

Dorothy Marie (Ray) Field passed away peacefully on February 23 at Copperfield Hills in Robbinsdale.
She is preceded in death by parents, Bernard and Hazel Ray; husband, Spencer Field and former husband, Bob Palmer; son, Michael Palmer; brothers, Ronald, Roy and sister, Rhea Larson; her brother Darrell passed away on April 19, 2022.
Dorothy is survived by daughter-in-law, Kathy Palmer; grandson, Mike Palmer; granddaughters, Holly Howey (Karen) and Beth Kurtz (David); brother, Kenneth Ray and sisters, Darlene Mykleby (Mike) and Betty Useldinger and many nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was raised in Thompson ND. She graduated from Thompson High School in 1943 and then graduated from Aakers School of Business in 1946. Soon after that, she took a job with the FBI in Washington DC. After that, she moved to Minnesota and married Bob Palmer. Bob, Dorothy and Mike settled in Robbinsdale.
Then she moved to California. She worked doing home health care taking care of respiratory patients. She also worked evenings at a Prayer Tower. She then married Spencer Field. Dorothy loved her family and all of her wonderful friends.
After many years of living in California, she found her way back to Robbinsdale. She wanted to be close to her family.
A memorial service for Dorothy will be held on Monday, May 16, 2022 at Kapala Glodek Malone Funeral Home 7800 Bass Lake Road, New Hope MN 55428 at 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior starting at 10:00 am.
A luncheon will follow the service in the hospitality room.
The interment will be at a later date at Bethany Lutheran Church, East Grand Forks.
