Edward Wojciak, formerly of Columbia Heights, MN, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2026, at the age of 83. Born June 20, 1942, in Robbinsdale, MN, Ed was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend.
Ed grew up in Robbinsdale alongside his siblings, He attended local schools and graduated from Robbinsdale High School, later continuing his education at the University of Minnesota, where he studied business.
Ed proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy, an experience that shaped his lifelong values of service and dedication. After his military service, Ed worked as a business agent for the Teamsters Local 792 for many years, earning the respect of colleagues and friends through his hard work and integrity.
On April 16, 1966, Ed married Marlene and had 60 years together. Together they built a beautiful life, raising two children, Debbie Williams (Jim) and Steve (Jodi) Wojciak. Ed was a proud grandfather to Darrin (Lacey), Joe (Robyn), Jake, Lauren, and Mia. His family was his greatest joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
Ed and Marlene loved spending time together at their cabin on Leech Lake, MN, where countless fond memories were made with family and friends. Ed enjoyed fishing and being with his grandkids, and his warm personality and sense of humor made him beloved by all who knew him.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and Edward; brother, Lawrence; Survived by his wife, Marlene; children, Debbie Williams (Jim) and Steve (Jodi) Wojciak; grandchildren, Darrin (Lacey), Joe (Robyn), Jake, Lauren and Mia; sisters, Carole, Kathleen, Joanne (Peter), Teresa (Russell); sister-in-law, Sue and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 am Friday, Feb. 13, 2026, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, in St. Anthony, MN. Visitation 10:00 am until the time of mass.
A private family burial will be held in the spring.
