

Eileen was born on February 23rd, 1945, in Larned, Kansas. She lived on a farm between Kinsley and Dodge City, Kansas. She was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church of rural Offerle, Kansas.
In 1968, Eileen graduated with her bachelor's degree from Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas. In February of 1969, she moved to Minnesota and worked for Control Data Corporation, Autocon Industries, and Summit Medical Systems from 1969 through 1995. In 1999, she graduated with her master's degree in divinity from Luther Seminary in St Paul, Minnesota.
On October 3rd, 1999, Eileen was ordained at Minnetonka Lutheran Church. She served Barsness Lutheran and Chippewa Falls Lutheran Churches from October 1999 until her passing. She chaired the Pope County H.E.L.P. Council and organized the Waterama Ecumenical Service both for several years.
Eileen was preceded in death by father, Albert C. Mehl; mother, Meta C. (Weiss) Mehl; sister, Lois Laval Feldman; and brother, Elden Mehl.
Eileen is survived by husband, Paul Schoenack; stepson, Aaron (Alisa Haleck) Schoenack; grandchildren, Zachary Rynders, Aiden Schoenack; great-grandchildren, Penelope Rynders, Zachary Rynders Jr; sister, Doris Hafliger; sisters-in-law, Joyce Mehl, Pat Sievertson; nieces and nephews, Beth Laval, Fred (Gretchen) Hafliger, Mark (Connie) Hafliger, John Jr (Kathy) Hafliger, Dene (Rick) Moerhing, LaRhonda (Kevin) Rutledge, Mike (Jamie) Mehl, Daniel Mehl; and the children of the nieces and nephews; and many other family and friends.
Eileen's memorial service will be announced at a later date.
