Daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother. How can one woman mean so much to so many?
Gwen was the sweetest soul, the most gentle, the most kind, few of us could ever even aspire to her example. She grew up in a small town on a small lake with a big family and an even bigger heart. Though she was tiny she had more loving kindness within her than any giant could ever contain.
And on that note, Gwen WAS a giant; a giant of faith. A faith and a love for our Lord Jesus that has passed on down to the multiple generations begun by her and her husband Steve.
Though humble, Gwen was bold in her faith. Fear couldn’t touch her and even now death will not hold her. Her legacy lives on in each of us and though we mourn her loss we rejoice in Heaven’s gain.
Heaven was made brighter on that day the Lord called her home.
Gwendolyn was preceded in death by her mother, Valeria Cook and her father, Richard Cook.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Stephen; son, Thomas (Kimberly); siblings, Marsha (James), Richard (Darlene), Nancy (William); grandchildren, Jayden (Emma), Rachel, Zachary; three great-grandchildren; and many friends and loved ones too numerous to count.
Memorial service at Kapala-Glodek Malone on Tuesday July 15th, 2025 at noon, with visitation one hour prior.
