Jerry always had a great sense of humor and that's what I loved about him the most. It didn't matter time nor place he was always willing to be a smart a-- which is probably where I got it from. True story ha-ha. A few months ago at my Grandmother's funeral Jerry was walking past me as everyone was entering the service and he leaned over towards me and sarcastically said " Go ahead and trip me Punk I know you want to". Classic Jerry. Even when the chips were down (He wasn't feeling very well at the time and it showed) he still had that remarkable way to make me laugh. Only Jerry could say that at a funeral and get me to laugh and gape at the same time. Over the span of my life every time I see Don Rickles I always laugh aloud and think of my uncle Jerry. I have wonderful memories of my Uncle Jerry and will always remember that he got my sense of humor as I got his. There are hundreds of examples of his humor I could share but the thing about Jerry is he would always stop and say I love you Trevor". Before we departed. He meant it and I thank him for that. This was our eulogy to our dad - the best ever!!

We know that he'd appreciate there being a few tears shed for him, but would also want to make sure there were plenty of laughs and smiles when you think of him. 


Our dad grew up in a home where affection was rare and the words, I love you' even rarer.
I remember our mom telling us that he wanted to make sure his children always knew they were loved and he accomplished that in spades.  He was generous with his hugs and kisses and no conversation ever ended with out an I love you. 


Our father was always there to support and help his family and friends. He always made sure we had what we needed to succeed in life, not just material things but life lessons. He would let us try things and experience life on our own, but was there to guide us and support us in our successes and in our failures. 


We knew he loved us unconditionally.  He would tell us how proud he was of the children he raised, but the truth is, it is us who are so proud to be his children. 
He was our hero, our solid rock - strong in every way.

Our dad truly had a heart of gold and a sense of humor to match.  Him, along with our beautiful mom raised us four kids to be good citizens of this world - to value hard work, to share our blessings (He helped run a charity ice fishing contest for many years with the proceeds going to help orphans around the world, him and our mom volunteered for Meals on Wheels during his retirement and even in death, he was still giving - being able to donate his eyes to someone in need) and to cherish time spent with family and friends (him and our mom were always the ones to get the party started, being the first ones on the dance floor).


While our dad was an auto mechanic for much of his life, our memories of childhood were of times spent camping, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, picnics and family BBQs at the lake - all with lots of laughter and hugs.    We all spent many hours with him in the garage working on the cars, grilling a delicious steak or Brat, or helping him with his fabulous and bountiful vegetable garden.  


While we weep for our dad, we can't help but smile as we recount many of our fondest memories.  He loved to tease and loved it even more when you could give it back to him.  He was sarcastic, loved to push that line - and occasionally, just leap right over it with a big grin and that famous twinkle' in his eye. 
He made the room come alive when he entered and made sure all felt at ease.  He would entertain us all with one of his stories of fishing, hunting, his youthful mischievous antics or even his adult mischievous antics.  


Dad, we miss you dearly, but we know that you are now our Angel in Heaven, watching over us each day and continuing to give us strength in all we do.  We love you!!

Dad T....who knew one could have so many tears.  I was "doublely" blessed when I married Chris, I got him, and you as my father-in-law.  I miss you dearly and am so thankful to have so many incredible memories.  Thank you for being the best Grandpa to Nicholas and Michael!!!

Tim, dad was a wonderful man. I miss him. You, me Amy and Jenni were all blessed by God to have such a great father. I have fond memories hunting, fishing, camping or working on cars with him.  I thank god for giving us such a great father. God bless you dad.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Growing up I heard so many stories about Jerry and my Dad. They were truly the best of friends. I am quite certain my dad welcomed him home and right now they are together reminiscing about the great times, maybe even a fishing rod in their hands.

I love you Jerry - more than you'll ever know. Thanks for being my "dad" for so many years. You were and always will be a guiding light in my life. I miss you so very much.

Jan & Family--Jerry was my Mr. Sunshine.  Amy, I loved calling your dad that and loved the smile I would get from him when I said it.  Our sympathy goes out to you and your family and know that he will always be remembered by everyone he met and never forgotten.  Your dad liked to joke, tease, make us laugh and was always fun to be around.  Your dad was one of a kind and touched many lives.  He will be missed greatly.

May the perpetual light shine upon you, Jerry.

My grandfather was an amazing person with amazing personality. He always knew how to make everyone laugh and he was the life of the party. We have made so many memories and I cherish each and everyone of them. My grandpa loved everyone unconditionally and would do anything for anyone. He always put others needs before his own, and always put a smile on my face. I am blessed to have had him in my life for eighteen years.

My father was an amazing man with a heart of gold and incredible sense of humor. 

My father, with my beautiful mother raised 4 beautiful children, that turn into amazing adults. Chris, Amy, Jenni  and myself. 

We had a great childhood with many beautiful and amazing memories.

These are all beautiful memories of amazing times spent with my father. 

I will never forget when my father said to me, Timothy you are my son and I will always love you no matter what, I'm proud of you and your brother and sisters. My father loved all of us unconditionally. 

My father is an amazing man and he helped me become the man I am today. I'm honored to be his son, and he with forever live in my heart. To live in the hearts of those we love is not to die.

My father was always my Hero. I remember always look to him and seeing such a strong man. Strong in every way.

Now my father is our Angel in Haven. I know he is there looking over us and giving us strength. 

Rest in peace Dad, we will all miss you very much but you will never be forgotten. You made an amazing impression in all our life's.

The "Tenute Twinkle" is his eyes & his amazing smile are things I will never forget about Jerry. Jan and family, you are in my thoughts & prayers. The memories you have will always be with you in your heart & so will he. Hugs & Love.

There are no words to express my deepest sympathy & sincere condolences as you face the loss of not only a wonderful man, but the pillar of your family. He is a part of my many cherished memories while growing up. The 'OURS' Group, the gatherings & events, The Annual Camping Weekend and the friends, were all very influential in how I view the world and in making me who I am today. A loved friend to everyone in the 'OURS' Group, adult or kid. How he told a joke or just silly goofing, Jerry added a different energy to the group that we all craved. He will be missed always and forever remembered for his genuine spirit, unique sense of humor (delivered in a way only he could) and his contageous laugh. He graced the lives, hugged the hearts and kissed the souls of all who were blessed to know him... Jerry, I pray your family and loved ones are filled with strength & courage to face their new world and that their hearts will over flow with your love to heal the pain in their souls. I pray for you, Jerry, that the wings of angels carry you peacefully to everlasting rest... -
