Born October 4, 1964 passed away on May 27, 2025, at the age of 60.
Randy was a 1983 graduate of Wayzata High School and spent his early 20’s working as a framing carpenter. He later found his professional home in electronics manufacturing and devoted nearly 30 years to Circuit Check, Inc in Maple Grove where he was a highly dedicated and valued member of the manufacturing team. He was very proud of his work output, always offering a kind word and supporting those around him.
Randy had a quick wit, gentle spirit and unwavering integrity. He was a skilled carpenter and had a great inventive mind, often saying with a smile, “I could make that.” Randy enjoyed gardening, cooking, canning and baking (and EATING) cookies at the annual cookie bake with his sister and cousins. In earlier years, he enjoyed mountain biking and skiing, having made several trips to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and out west over the years.
Though he lived a private life, his quiet strength and loyal heart left a lasting impression on all who knew him. He was deeply loved by family and friends alike, and his loss is profoundly felt by those who knew him.
Randy was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Ann Mitchell. He is survived by his father, Raymond Mitchell of Willmar; his sister, Stacy (Ken) Nietfeld of Lino Lakes; his niece, Chloe Nietfeld of White Bear Lake; and many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
