JULY 1, 1946 – OCTOBER 8, 2021
Robert (Bob) John Ziemiecki, age 75, of Minnetonka, Minnesota passed away on Friday, October 8, 2021. He was born July 1, 1946. Bob was born and raised in New Jersey, served in the United States Army as an expert marksman, and spent 40+ years of his professional career with top retail companies in the country. He was a member of Saint Mary of the Lake Catholic Church (Plymouth), American Legion (Hopkins), Twin City Model Railroad Museum, 25+ years in Boy Scouts, Indian Guides/Indian Princess, and coached many youth sports. Bob raced with his son (Jerry) at Raceway Park for many years and then transitioned to crew chief/loudest fan for Jessica and Justin as they started their racing careers. He was extremely proud of all his grandkids and spent many nights in the gym supporting Jacob with his gymnastics as well as many nights in the “freezing cold” ice arena watching Michael guard the goal.
Bob is preceded in death by his father, Chester H. Ziemiecki and mother, Jean Ziemiecki; brothers, Thomas Ziemiecki and Chester (Barbara) Ziemiecki.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Theresa (Terri) Ziemiecki; son, Jerry Ziemiecki; daughter, Kelly Biller (Cory); daughter-in-law, Judy Ziemiecki; grandchildren, Jacob and Michael Biller, and Jessica and Justin Ziemiecki; brother, Henry Ziemiecki (Beverly); sister-in-law, Susan Stuck (Greg); nieces, Laura Ziemiecki, Alecia Freed, Kristin Albright, Amber Ziemiecki; nephew, Michael Stuck; as well as many friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 22, 6 PM at Kapala-Glodek-Malone Funeral Home, 7800 Bass Lake Rd., New Hope, MN. With visitation beginning at 5 PM. Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.
