My Sympathy to the Dotseth Family;
I never knew Ron until we became neighbors and He'd often come to chat with me when I was working in the garden.  He'd stop briefly and let me know I was doing a good job (brightened my day) and he loved the tomatoes--but he never stayed long enough to help me weed!!  He'd stop over at the house driving his garden tractor, just to chat a minute.  I think that tractor must have been glued to him cause he was on it alot in the summer, mowing and mowing and mowing!!  

Occasionally we'd go for breakfast. I always looked forward to going when Ron did the driving because after eating he'd drive around showing us some of the beautiful homes he had done brick work on.  With each house, he could tell you a story about the people who lived in it.  It was a delight. He always spoke well of everyone.

He loved to share how proud he was of his son, Lonnie and Granddaughter, Shayla. His face just lite up when he talked about them.

Something that impressed me was when Ron was telling me he had to go shopping. He had a gift to buy for a Baby Shower.  My thought was, what a special man who would take the time to pick out a special gift rather than doing the typical male thing (no offense), just giving cash. Nothing wrong with cash but I thought it said alot about who he was as a person.

Recent years have been a difficult time in my own life.  One day I was walking down the street and I heard someone in a gravelly voice Yell--NAH DEEN! I knew who it was immediately because no one else called me anything but Nadine.  I hadn't seen him in a while so it was good to see him.  In the days ahead, I always knew he was there as a friend.  I could talk to him and he would LISTEN and he wasn't going to judge me.  I knew he really cared, not just about me but also about the many others lives he touched.

As he got sick, I saw an amazing man who endured much but I never heard him compain. It seemed like he wanted to let everyone know how much he cared about them-before saying Goodbye.  We'd often talk about the Resurrection and how strongly he believed.  I knew in my heart that God would be waiting  with open arms to welcome him home.

Some people make a difference just by their inner light touching others lives.  And even when they are gone, they remain a part in our smiles, our cares and our priceless monents that we will forever treasure in our hearts.

I have this feeling there's one more star up in the sky tonight.  And even though it's far away it's brightness and warmth still reach  us here to make the night less dark.

May the comforting hand of time touch your days and give you strengh to accept what we, too, know is a deep loss.

Ron was a joy to be around.  I know he's in heaven and I just hope God likes Ron's Country music station as much as he did!!

To the Dotseth Family,

In memory and celebration of Ron Dotseth, someone who made this world a brighter and better place.

Ron was a good nieghbor, but an even better friend!  He will be missed greatly!!  We miss seeing Ron on his riding lawn tractor stopping by to chat, going out for breakfast, a cup of coffee, or a smelt fry.  I won't be able to go to a smelt fry again without thinking of him.  The last time we went to the smelt fry, a pigeon pooped on his head - Ron just laughed it off and was a good sport about it.  He was fun to be around and had a wonderful sense of humor.  He was so kind, caring, and non-judgemental.  He wanted to think the best of everyone.  He was a big support for my Mom and me during some difficult and trying times.  We will miss his special friendship.  

Though we know heaven has welcomed a very special person, our hearts still feel the sorrow.

Cousin Ron,
Your love for all of the family will always be remembered, along with your smile with twinkling eyes! We will miss you and look forward to the great reunion Grandma Dotseth always talked about in heaven. Love you.

Having known Ron for such a short period of time, He was  Very Gracious and Fun !! Always greeted me with a BIG SMILE & HUG !!  Will miss you, Ron !!

Lonnie,and family I am so sorry to hear of Rons passing. He was a good man, VERY LOVED BY ALL, May you all rest in knowing that he is out of pain now and ALIVE with OUR LORD IN HEAVEN.  He was one brave man even after he found out about his cancer he made sure he said good-bye to as many people as he could. He was a truely HUMBLE MAN I will miss him. Ron, I am glad I got the pleasure of knowing you, You always had  a smile for everyone, and what I will remember is that you always reminded me to call my Dad every chance I got. I learned alot of life leasons from you. RIP Ron.

Uncle Ronnie - I love you and am so blessed that I got to grow up with you just next door. I will remember your smile and the laughter you brought to us! I miss you!

Rest in peace Ronnie. I will always remember the happiness you brought into my life. We will miss you very much.

Cousin Ron,  May you rest in Peace!  Your suffering here on earth is over and you gave it all you had.  Your heart was big and I will never forget your call a few weeks ago to tell your aunt Ruby, my mom, that you loved her and that you loved all of us. We love you Ron and will miss you, but we will see each other again at that beautiful reunion when our Lord comes!  Your cuz, Dottie

I will always remember the times spent with Ronnie and Lonnie so much laughter my stomach hurt:)I will always remember ur smile Ronnie. This world lost a GREAT man, but heaven gained one! Glad u have no more pain or suffering.
