Sharon Ruth Lotts passed away peacefully on September 25, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was surrounded by the love of her family and leaves behind a legacy of compassion, determination, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.
Born to Victor and Ruth Snyder, Sharon dedicated her life to caring for others, both professionally and personally. A registered nurse by training, she began her career at Oxboro Medical Clinic before serving as an occupational health nurse with Farmers & Mechanics Bank and later Litton Industries.
Never one to shy away from a challenge, Sharon took a leap of faith in 1980 and founded her own company, Occupational Health & Rehabilitation Services (OHRS). Through years of leadership and hard work, she built a respected business dedicated to helping injured workers recover, regain confidence, and successfully return to meaningful employment. Her commitment to advocacy, rehabilitation, and improving the lives of others left a lasting impact on countless individuals and their families.
While Sharon found great fulfillment in her work, her greatest joy came from her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose warmth and generosity touched everyone around her.
Sharon was known for her love of cooking and hospitality. Family gatherings were often centered around meals she lovingly prepared, and no one ever left her table hungry. Whether hosting holidays, celebrating special occasions, or simply bringing family together on an ordinary weekend, she expressed her love through food, creating traditions and memories that will be cherished for generations.
She also treasured time spent at the lake, a place where family and friends gathered, laughs were shared, and lasting memories were made. Some of her happiest moments were spent enjoying the beauty and peace of lake life, surrounded by children, grandchildren, and loved ones. The lake was not just a destination, but a reflection of what mattered most to Sharon: family, togetherness, and nature.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eugene ("Gene") Lotts; her father and mother, Victor and Ruth Snyder; and her brother, Douglas Snyder. She is survived by her children, Gene Lotts and his wife Julie; Scott Lotts and his wife Lisa; Garth Lotts; and Heather Lemke and her husband Jim. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Anna Lotts and her husband Evan Erickson; Eden Lotts and her partner Emma Ballman; Emily Larson; Alex Lotts; Ella Lemke; Eva Lemke; and Everett Lemke; and her great-grandchildren, August Erickson and Hazel Erickson. Sharon is further survived by her brother Bill Snyder, and his wife Sue, and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
Sharon will be remembered for her caring heart, entrepreneurial determination, and deep love for family. Whether she was helping a patient, supporting an injured worker's recovery, preparing a meal for loved ones, or enjoying a day at the lake, she brought kindness, strength, and grace to every part of her life. Her family finds comfort in the countless lives she touched and the enduring memories she leaves behind.
Sharon's life will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, with a Visitation 12:30 pm -1:30 pm and Funeral Service at 1:30 pm at Mount Olivet Lutheran Church West Campus (7150 Rolling Acres Road, Minnetrista, MN).
