Theresa Ann Ziemiecki

Theresa (Terri) Ann “Tobin” Ziemiecki, age 74, of Minnetonka, Minnesota, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on May 5, 2025. Born in Long Branch, New Jersey, Terri was raised in Cliffwood and Keansburg. She attended Matawan High School in New Jersey, where she was an active member of the Library Club and a Majorette (Flag Girl).

On March 1, 1975, she married Robert John Ziemiecki. They lived in New Jersey for many years then moved to Lewistown, PA for a short period of time before relocating to Hopkins, Minnesota in October of 1981. During her early years in Minnesota, Terri made her mark as a dedicated volunteer within the Hopkins School District while also indulging in her passions for crafting, baking, and cooking, all while raising her beloved children, Jerry and Kelly. She is described by many as a hard-working and compassionate individual, Terri always put others first, dedicating her life to caring for those around her and finding joy in their happiness.

With more than 30 years of professional experience as an assistant store manager for top retail companies including Frank's Nursery and Crafts, Big Lots, Tuesday Morning, World Market, and Lyndale Garden Center, Terri excelled in her career. She also contributed to her community as a member of Saint Mary of the Lake Catholic Church, served as a leader in the Indian Princess Guide program, and was a devoted Scout Den Mom and Committee Chair Leader for the Boy Scouts of America for many years.

Terri cherished the time spent at Raceway Park and Elko Speedway, watching her husband, son, and grandchildren race, and took immense pride in attending her grandkids’ events—from cheering for Jacob flipping through the air at gymnastics competitions, to braving the cold ice arenas for Michael’s hockey games, and marveling at Jessica’s dance performances and Justin’s creative robot-building endeavors.

Terri is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ziemiecki, mother, Ann Pelose; father, James Tobin; and extended family in New Jersey. She is survived by her sister, Susan Stuck (Greg); son, Jerry Ziemiecki (Judy); daughter, Kelly Biller (Cory); grandchildren, Jacob and Michael Biller, and Jessica and Justin Ziemiecki; nieces, Laura Ziemiecki, Alicia Freed (Adam), Kristin Albright (Zachary); nephew, Michael Stuck (Billie); Gerald Wylie (Terri’s first husband), as well as numerous friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at 6 PM, with visitation from 5 PM to 6 PM at Kapala Glodek-Malone Funeral Home, 7800 Bass Lake Road, New Hope, MN 55428.
