The Priest at funeral mass did an amazing job.  Victor and Maggie were blessed to have such a beautiful parish.  Prayers for Victor today.  

I have had the pleasure of being part of the Volk Family for 50 years. Though I divorced their oldest son 44 years ago I did keep the family. They were a very important part of my and my daughter Amber's life.  It was there that I learned to love kuchen (Grandma Rufina's was the best, in my opinion), cheese buttons and rivel soup. I did not quite appreciate ketchup noodles. Sorry.
Vic & Maggie were always together. Maggie was constantly sewing Barbie doll clothes for her craft sales so Amber had the best dressed dolls around. When Vic retired he made wooden furniture for the dolls and even twisted  pieces of wire into hangers for the doll clothes. So, it brings me joy to believe they are again reunited.
Vic, I was really hoping to see your face on a Smuckers Jar celebrating your 100th birthday but God had other plans. You were a great man and you will be missed, I'm certain the Care Center will never have another Godfather like you.

Some of my best childhood memories were those that I spent with Grandpa Victor and Grandma Maggie.  How special they made me feel when I got to ride with them in the motorhome up to the lake.  While Grandpa drove and ate sunflower seeds, Grandma and I played poker with our bowl of nickles velcroed to the table.  To my Aunt Judy and Uncles Earl, Randy and Junior, my deepest condolences;  we will all miss him dearly.  Though my heart is filled with sadness, I take comfort in knowing that he is finally reunited with his love and know they will forever look down on us all and smile.  I miss you Grandpa and thank you for a lifetime of love and memories.  God Bless.

To jr. , judy,and Randy, I am so sad about victors passing , I loved him like my dad ! He loved his family so much !! I will always keep his kind words close to my heart ! I will have a grain belt premium on the 12 th to honor him !!RIP VICTOR!! Love your favorite housekeeper julie !!
