Sherri was the most courageous woman I’ve ever known. She possessed an enormous passion for her southern roots. She dove into the cajun culture head first and loved every minute. I was in awe of her. Rest in peace Sherri.

I was sorry to hear of Alcidie's passing and offer my condolences to her family. I first met her in the late 1950's when her father visited his brother, my father, in Morgan City. I am her first cousin. Around 10 years ago she began to email me for genealogical research and we shared family history. I met her in person once at a family funeral. She enjoyed life and had a great attitude.
