Alvin "Blue/Cuz" Touchet

NEW IBERIA – Funeral Services will be conducted for Mr. Alvin “Blue/Cuz” Touchet, age 74, at 10:00 am Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at St. Marcellus Catholic Church with Fr. Gene Treme officiating. Interment will be held at St. Marcellus Mausoleum.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 with a Rosary at 7:30 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Wednesday until service time.

A native of Youngsville and a resident of New Iberia, Mr. Touchet passed away at 10:34 am on Sunday, June 17, 2012 at Dauterive Hospital.

Mr. Touchet loved caring for his horses. He also was a baseball coach for many years as well as a member of the Beagle Club. Alvin was a member of St. Marcellus Catholic Church.

He is survived by his brother, Edias Paul Touchet; Godson, R.P. Touchet; newphews, Ronald Wayne Touchet and Daniel Paul Touchet.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cleo and Eledia Touchet; brother, Ellis Touchet; sister in law, Esther Ruby Jasek; and nephew, Kenneth Touchet.

Pallbearers will be Ronald (R.T.) Touchet, Ronald (R.P.) Touchet, Kenneth Derouen, Kenny Verret, Travis Louviere and Eric Grow.
