Anna Mae Billiot Touchet

NEW IBERIA - A native of LaRosa, LA and longtime resident of New Iberia, Anna Mae Madeline Billiot Touchet, age 72, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 19, 2016 at Franklin Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Franklin, LA.

Anna had an unwavering faith in God and studied the bible at the start of each day. She was a supporter of the International Fellowship of Christian and Jews. Anna greatly enjoyed all types of crafts and was very talented. She loved sewing, doing upholstery, painting, quilting, and woodworking just to name a few. Anna could do anything she set her mind to. A loving mother and grandmother, she will be truly and deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Anna is survived by her children, LeQuita Swanson of California, Schona Couvillier and husband Jesse Jr. of Baldwin, Nola Schaubert and wife Carmen of Wesley Chapel, Fl, and Timothy Touchet of TX; grandchildren, Hollie Gajewski, Gregory Swanson, Lezandra Curtis, Dontorius Swanson Archangel, Elijah Archangel, Sr., Shardae Caldwell, Jesse Paul Couvillier, Dustin Couvillier and wife Cherie, Cody, Schaubert, Beau Schaubert, Meghin Trahan and husband Marcus, Brooke Boudion and husband Cody, Aubrey Touchet, and Camille Touchet; great grandchildren, Josiah Gajewski, Cierra Gajewski, Jason Irvin, Devan Irvin, Elijah Archangel, Jr., Peyton Couvillier, Aaliyah Couvillier, Slate Trahan, Silas Trahan, and Milo Trahan; and siblings, Sidney Billiot, T-Joe Lefleur, and Enola Chassion.

Anna is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Louize Fitch Billiot; brothers, Junius Billiot, Albert DarDar, Edward DarDar, Nolan DarDar, and Edwin Billiot; and sister, Albey LeBouef.

As per her wishes, there will be no services. A private interment will be held at a later date.
