April was a gifted seamstress who owned and operated her own business for many years, providing sewing and alterations for families throughout the area. Her skill and dedication to her craft touched the lives of many in the community she loved.
A woman of deep faith, April found comfort and joy singing the gospel and was a music director in the church, her passion was singing the gospel. She was a devout member of West Side Baptist Church, where she was active in the Woman's Missionary Union (WMU), and had previously been a faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church. Her faith was the foundation of her life, and she trusted fully in the promise of Psalm 23:
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
April had a tender heart for God's creatures, especially her beloved dogs, who were truly her babies — none more cherished than Little Man, her Great Pyrenees. She also had a green thumb, finding peace among her flowers and plants and tending lovingly to her garden.
But above all else, April loved her family, and that love was the truest measure of her life.
She is survived by her sons, Christian Feller (Debra), Robert Feller, Jr., and Erik Feller (Tammy); her daughters, Anitra Quebedeaux (Joey Jr.) and Teah Blanchard (Alfred Jr.); and her brother, Robert Briley. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Shelton Feller, Orin Feller, Thomas Degeyter, Logan Feller, Alyssa Nolan, Ashli Feller, Christian-Tate Feller, Cooper Feller, Raiden Feller, Emily Feller, Hunter Feller, Parker Feller, Channing Quebedeaux, Dane Feller, Landon Blanchard, and Peyton Blanchard, as well as a very special niece, Annie Wright.
She was preceded in death by her father, Louis Briley; her daughter, Melissa Briley; her sister, Phyllis Shoup; her brother, Chris Briley; and her husband, Robert Feller, Sr.
April also leaves behind numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews to cherish her memory, along with her beloved dogs, who will miss their mama dearly.
A memorial service celebrating April's life will be held at West Side Baptist Church. Service day and time are pending at this time and will be updated as soon as information is available.
