Ashley was born March 25, 1992 in New Iberia, the first born child of Kenneth and Wanette Buteaux Haycock. On Tuesday, February 19, 2019, Ashley passed away peacefully with her family at her side, at Tulane Hospital in New Orleans. She was 26.
Ashley was a 2010 Graduate of New Iberia Senior High and went on to LSUE and SLCC receiving an Associate Degree in Business. She worked with CIOX, a medical records management company, at Abbeville General Hospital, and worked at Lafayette General Medical Center and with the office of Dr. Gerald Elias, Jr. Ashley’s faith was very important to her and she shared her time with St. Peter’s Catholic Church teaching religion to different grade school levels. Outside of her work and volunteering, Ashley’s best time was that spent with her babies and her family. Whether playing or reading with her children, visiting with her parents, or watching her brother play baseball those were her best times. She leaves a legacy of love, compassion and faith and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish her memory are her two children, Addyson Claire Haycock and Karson Paul Haycock; her parents, Kenneth and Wanette Buteaux Haycock; her brothers, Trevor and Brett Haycock; maternal grandfather, Oswald Francis “Nunu” Buteaux; paternal great grandmother, Helen Savoy; her uncles and aunts, Kevin Haycock, Kevin Buteaux and wife Tiffany, Stephanie Pellerin and husband Bruce and Sandra Haycock; her closest and dearest friend, Monique Broussard; her Godchild, Brayden Pellerin; and a host of cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Delores Lopez Buteaux; paternal grandparents, Chester and Joyce Bowman Haycock; and great grandfather, George Savoy.
Serving as pallbearers are Trevor, Brett, Kevin and Lance Haycock, Kevin Buteaux and Bruce Pellerin. Honorary pallbearers are Kenneth Haycock, Stephen Viator and Johnathan Janise.
