Ashley was born March 25, 1992 in New Iberia, the first born child of Kenneth and Wanette Buteaux Haycock. On Tuesday, February 19, 2019, Ashley passed away peacefully with her family at her side, at Tulane Hospital in New Orleans. She was 26.

Ashley was a 2010 Graduate of New Iberia Senior High and went on to LSUE and SLCC receiving an Associate Degree in Business. She worked with CIOX, a medical records management company, at Abbeville General Hospital, and worked at Lafayette General Medical Center and with the office of Dr. Gerald Elias, Jr. Ashley’s faith was very important to her and she shared her time with St. Peter’s Catholic Church teaching religion to different grade school levels. Outside of her work and volunteering, Ashley’s best time was that spent with her babies and her family. Whether playing or reading with her children, visiting with her parents, or watching her brother play baseball those were her best times. She leaves a legacy of love, compassion and faith and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory are her two children, Addyson Claire Haycock and Karson Paul Haycock; her parents, Kenneth and Wanette Buteaux Haycock; her brothers, Trevor and Brett Haycock; maternal grandfather, Oswald Francis “Nunu” Buteaux; paternal great grandmother, Helen Savoy; her uncles and aunts, Kevin Haycock, Kevin Buteaux and wife Tiffany, Stephanie Pellerin and husband Bruce and Sandra Haycock; her closest and dearest friend, Monique Broussard; her Godchild, Brayden Pellerin; and a host of cousins and friends.

Dear Kenneth, Wanette et al,
We send our love and prayers.
May the Lord bless you that you may walk in an
overflow of peace and comfort in this time.
Try to remember that a loved one can never die. You will see them many times. You will see them in your home and many other fond and familiar places. In all the things here that make this a world for us to live in. You will feel them in all things that are here out of love, and for love- all the things that are abundant, all the things that grow. The person of a loved one may leave or be taken away- but the best part of them stays. It stays forever. Love is immortal and makes all things immortal.
Peace and Boundless Love,
Richard & Beverly Hayes et al

I cant express my sadness enough hearing about this. Ashley was a great friend, although we had become distant for a long time. I remember going to her house, and sleeping over. Her annoying but sweet little brother. I remember seeing her on NISH's dance team and was so excited for her. Then, getting to see her become a mother of two sweet little ones. Mr and Mrs Haycock, i know i havent seen yall in forever, but just know i always thought of her, yall, and always hoped and prayed yall were doing well. My whole heart goes out to yall, and i know shes up and in peace in Heaven. Take care and may God bring you comfort and peace in the weeks ahead ♡
