

NEW IBERIA – Funeral Services will be conducted for Brent Norris Buteaux, age 35, at 1:00 pm Thursday, March 8, 2012 at Evangeline Funeral Home with Pastor Felipe Davila officiating. Interment will be held at Beau Pre Memorial Park in Jeanerette.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Wednesday. The funeral home will reopen at 9:00 am on Thursday until service time.
A native and resident of New Iberia, Brent passed away at 9:12 am on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at his residence.
Brent was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and gun collecting. He enjoyed watching boxing on television as a relaxing past time.
Brent was a kid at heart with a warm and fun loving personality, who loved his family dearly.
He is survived by his wife of twelve years, Rachel Broussard Buteaux and his children, Tori Lynn Buteaux and Logan Glenn Buteaux all of New Iberia; his father, Glenn Buteaux and his wife Debbie of New Iberia; his mother, Julie Naquin and her husband Lonnie of Carencro; one brother, Lance Buteaux of New Iberia; three sisters, Melony Pitre and her husband Michael; Megan Buteaux and Alaina Buteaux all of New Iberia; and his in laws, Edwin and Terry Broussard, Jr. of New Iberia.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Glenn Buteaux, Jr.; Paternal grandparents, James Norris Buteaux and Nileas Verret Migues and Sidney Migues and his maternal grandparents, Clevis and Julia LeBlanc Romero.
Pallbearers will be Cody Albert, Kim Romero, Kirk Romero, Justin Mertz, Craig Landry and Billy Joe Reaux.
Lance Buteaux will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
