Brian Lee Rockwell, a father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, passed in the early hours on Monday, October 10, 2022 at the age of 59. He was born in Mason City, Iowa to the late Gary Lee Rockwell (Mary) and the late Evelyn Platt. Brian is the proud father of his daughter, Karley Elizabeth Rockwell (Tyler Lacombe), his son, Jeremy Lee Rockwell, and step-daughter Lexie J. Guilbeau. He is the grandfather of 5 grandchildren, Courtnie, Khloe, Jaidon, Payton, and Hailee Rockwell. Brian is survived by his siblings, Eva Bell, Stephen L. Rockwell, Allan L. Rockwell, Michael L. Rockwell, Thomas L. Rockwell (Patty), Mike Reindl, Susan R. Stearns (Rande), Cathy R. Richer (Jeff), Deb R. Patrick (Dave), Steve Reindl (Anna), Nathan Rockwell, and the late Gary L. Rockwell, Jr. Brian also leaves behind his beloved Cheryl Gaskey, a multitude of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Brian was a 1981 graduate of Mason City High School. After high school, he enlisted in the military. Brian went on to serve his country as a Calvary Scout in the United States Army. Brian spent his latest years living in California and working at Fort Hunter Liggett Military Base. He had many hobbies and interests that included listening to rock music, panning for gemstones, and mostly cruising on his Screamin’ Eagle Harley Davidson motorcycle. Brian was a loving father, good friend, and proud American.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at 5:30PM on Saturday, October 22nd, 2022 at Evangeline Funeral Home, 314 E. St. Peter Street in New Iberia, Louisiana. A visitation will begin at 3:30PM and continue until the service time. Interment will be held privately at a later date.
