Charles Wayne Anderson

NEW IBERIA – Funeral Services will be conducted for Mr. Charles Wayne Anderson, age 74, at 7:00 pm, on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Evangeline Funeral Home with Rev. Zack Mitchell officiating. Interment will be held privately at a later date.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until 9:00 pm on Tuesday with the Rosary being led by the Men’s Rosary Group at 6:00 pm.

A native of Montevallo, AL and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Wayne passed away on Friday, March 4, 2016 at Iberia Medical Center.

Mr. Wayne and his wife were members of the Good Sam Club and worked the National Rally. They loved to travel the United States. Together, they made it to all but five states. Charles worked for Lucas Paint Company for many years and retired from Western Geophysical.

He is survived by his wife of twenty-eight years, Willa Touchet Anderson; three daughters, Eva Anderson of Mobile, AL, Linda Denene Guillot and husband Bill of Breaux Bridge, and Sonya Yvette Romero and husband Donald of Youngsville; four stepchildren, Melanie Gore of Lafayette, Marcia Ann Etie and husband Darrin of New Iberia, Nathan Paul Leger and wife Monique of Loreauville, and Anthony James Leger and wife Patricia of New Iberia; fourteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and one sister, Evelyn Lucas of Jacksonville, FL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Robert Wayne and Irene Reid Anderson; one brother, Sanford Anderson; and one sister, Nelda Lucas.
