Clifton Joseph "Bruce" Broussard

NEW IBERIA – Funeral Services will be conducted for Mr. Clifton Broussard, age 85, at 1:00 pm Friday December 27, 2013 at St. Marcellus Catholic Church with Fr. Gene Tremie officiating. Interment will be held at St. Marcellus Cemetery with flag presentation by VFW Post #1982.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Thursday with a Rosary at 6:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 10:00 am on Friday until service time.

A native of Avery Island and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Broussard passed away at 6:50 pm on Sunday December 22, 2013 at Iberia Extended Care.

Mr. Broussard was the owner of Broussard air conditioning for 30 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and especially traveling with his wife. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Esther Quebedeaux Broussard of New Iberia; son, Glenn E. Broussard and wife Melanie “MiMi” of New Iberia; daughter, Donna B. Delahoussaye and husband Keith of New Iberia; grandchildren, Jenee D. Jordan and husband Robert, Matthew G. Broussard, and Benjamin J. Broussard; and great grandson, Robert C. “Trey” Jordan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, marcel and Ezelena Dartez Broussard; brother, Preston Broussard; and sister, Celena Broussard.

Pallbearers will be Glenn Broussard, Matthew Broussard, Benjamin Broussard, Keith Delahoussaye, Robert Jordan, and Dan Doerle.
