Connie Alleman Miller, a devoted wife, beloved mother, cherished sister, and adoring grandmother. Passed away on Monday, July 21, 2025, at her residence at the age of 68. She was born on March 14, 1957, to the late Cleus “Pete” and Theresa Demet Alleman. Her warmth, strength, and unwavering grace left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Connie spent many years working on Avery Island, where she served as the main housekeeper at the historic Marsh House. Her dedication and work ethic were unmatched, and she cared for the home with pride, treating it as an extension of her own.
A woman of simple joys and deep roots, Connie found happiness in life’s everyday pleasures. She loved to cook—her kitchen always filled with the comforting aromas of home—and spent countless hours outdoors, either fishing or tending to her yard with care. Her green thumb was well known, and her flowers bloomed as beautifully as the love she shared with her family.
Despite facing illness in her later years, Connie never once complained. Her quiet strength and gentle spirit remained constant, an inspiration to everyone around her. She also enjoyed the occasional outing to the casino, where she found fun, laughter, and just a touch of excitement.
Connie will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her husband, children, grandchildren, siblings, and the many friends whose lives she touched with kindness and love.
May she rest in peace, surrounded by the beauty and peace she so lovingly gave to others.
She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Wayne Miller; two sons, Blake Ryan Miller and Billy Wayne Williams, one grandchild, Bailey Michael Williams; one brother, Billy Joe Alleman and three sisters, Nancy A. Guidry, Janet A. Delahoussaye and husband JC “Boy” and tina A. Verret and husband Victor.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by one brother, Michael Alleman and her mother-in-law, Gloria Migues Delahoussaye.
