Cynthia Lancon Tauzin

NEW IBERIA - A memorial service will be held at a later date for Cynthia Lancon Tauzin, age 61, who passed away on Friday, September 30, 2016 at Iberia Medical Center surrounded by her loving friends and family.

Born on June 24, 1955 to the late Willis Sr. and Lillian Lancon, Cynthia was one of eight children. She enjoyed couponing and sharing her finds with others. Cynthia also loved Betty Boop and yellow roses. Her grandchildren and fur-baby were always on her mind and her smile would light up a room. Cynthia wasn't much of a cook but could often be found enjoying boiled crabs at Jane's Seafood with her friends. She loved photography and would donate her services to friends and family, especially at their weddings. Cynthia was loved by many and will be missed by all.

She is survived by her daughter, Cyndi Jo Bertrand Clymer and husband William "Herky" Clymer of New Iberia; granddaughter, Destiny Marie Bertrand; grandson, Harley Joseph Bertrand and fiancée' Sarah Beth Patout; great-grandchildren, Chloie, Emilie, Ethan, and Joshua; brothers, Willis "Niggie" Lancon, Jr. and wife Linda of New Iberia and Christon Lancon and wife Donna of Delcambre; sisters, Malvina Lancon of Delcambre, Charlotte Lancon of Leroy, Connie Tutt and husband Tommy of Texas, Melissa Guidry and husband Shane of Maurice, and Veronica "Ronnie" Brewer and husband Wally of Texas; god-children, Andrea "Andi" Bergeron and husband Marcus of Erath, Joy Coy and husband Lance of Florida, and Kevin Tutt of Texas; favorite niece, Tami Touchet and husband RP of New Iberia; numerous nieces and nephews; friends, Kurt Barras, Penny Moreaux, Allie Broussard, and Jo Delcambre; and fur-baby, Sally.

She is preceded in death by the love of her life, Jason "TJ" Burrell; parents, Willis Sr. and Lillian DeRouen Lancon; great-granddaughter, Julie Elizabeth Bertrand; sister, Catherine "T-Cat" Lancon; and step-brother, Bryan Comeaux.

The family would like to give special thanks to Larry Delcambre A/C and Heating for everything they have done to make this time easier for both Ms. Cynthia and her family.
