

NEW IBERIA – Funeral Services will be conducted for Mr. Dalton Robicheaux, age 87, at 11:00 am Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Fr. Mark Derise officiating. Interment will be held at Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until 9:00 pm on Wednesday with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Thursday and remain open until service time.
A native and resident of New Iberia, Mr.Robicheaux passed away at 5:20 am on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at New Iberia Manor North Nursing Home.
Dalton enjoyed dancing, baseball, playing Bouree and spending time with his family. He was well known as being a very hard worker but also liked to joke around, have fun and cut up with his friends and family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his children, Charlene LeBlanc and husband Timmy of Lafayette, Jimmy Robicheaux and wife Sally of New Iberia, Harold Robicheaux and wife Brenda of New Iberia, Delores Hotard and husband Stoney of Lydia; grandchildren, Craig Robicheaux, Tammy Morvant, Tina Perez, Cassie Primeaux, Chad Robicheaux, Shanon Hebert, Todd Hotard, Christi Robicheaux, Scotty LeBlanc, Danielle Robicheaux, Sheree Sellers; 32 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Vernice Menard Robicheaux; parents, Noah and Amellia LeBlanc Robicheaux; grandson, Shawn Robicheaux; great-granddaughter, Holli Robicheaux; brothers, Marcus Robicheaux, Dedier Robicheaux and Leeward Robicheaux. Today would have been Dalton and Vernice’s 70th wedding anniversary.
Pallbearers will be Harold Robicheaux, Timmy LeBlanc, Craig Robicheaux, Chad Robicheax, Todd Hotard and Scotty LeBlanc.
