OBITUARY

David Joseph Andras Sr.

NEW IBERIA – Funeral Services will be conducted for Mr. David Joseph Andras, Sr., age 58, at 10:00 am Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Evangeline Funeral Home with Fr. Ed Degeyter officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Family Mausoleum.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 Noon until 10:00 pm on Wednesday. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Thursday until service time. A native and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Andras passed away at 5:59 am on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at Iberia Medical Center.

Mr. Andras was employed at Morton Salt for 25 years. He enjoyed fishing, shrimping and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Christine Ewing Andras of Lydia; one daughter, Sandra Doucet and her companion Ronnie Mitchell of Abbeville; three sons, David Andras, Jr. of Lydia; Jason Andras, Sr. and wife Candy of Lydia and Steven Peek, Sr. and wife Teisha of New Iberia; eleven grandchildren, Mark Doucet, Jr., Breigh Doucet; Renee Doucet; David Andras, III; Jason Andras, Jr.; Clarissa Andras, Laura Andras, Daisy Andras, Chelsea Duhon, Steven Peek, Jr. and Tyler Broussard; two great grandchildren, Maylee Doucet and Aleeah Doucet; one brother, Danny Andras, Sr. of New Iberia and one sister, Diane Dardin and husband Roy of Charenton.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wilson Andras, Sr.;his mother, Marjorie Rawlins Andras; one brother, Wilson Andras, Jr. and one grandchild, Coy Mitchell.

Pallbearers will be David Andras, III; William Andras, Mark Doucet, Jr., Mark Doucet, Sr., Steven Peek and Davey Dardin.
