Doris Leblanc Racca

NEW IBERIA A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Mrs. Richard Racca, the former Doris LeBlanc, age 77, at 11:00 am on Friday, March 11, 2011 at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church. Fr. Mike Arnaud will be the celebrant for the services. Interment will follow at Nativity of Our Lady Mausoleum.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Thursday with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Friday until service time.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Racca passed away at 10:57 am on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at LTAC of Acadiana.

Mrs. Racca was a member of Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church and the Ladies Altar Society. She was employed with the Iberia Parish School Board as a teacher’s aide for more than 30 years at Live Oak and Sugarland Elementary School’s.

Mrs. Racca is survived by one daughter, Mona Gondran and husband Pat of New Iberia; three sons, Donald Racca and wife Bonnie of Pineville; Brian Racca and fiancée Dayna Delahoussaye of New Iberia and Robert Racca of Lafayette and four grandchildren, Cody Gondran, Elliot Racca, Kevin Racca and Katelyn Racca.

She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Racca and her parents, Claude and Eda Kratzer LeBlanc.

Pallbearers will be Cody Gondran, Elliot Racca, Donald Kratzer, David Kratzer, Paul Dupuis, Cory Dupuis and Joshua Delahoussaye.
