Mrs. Dorothy Hayes Molbert

NEW IBERIA – Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Lennet J. Molbert, Sr., the former Dorothy Hayes, age 90, at 10:00 am Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Evangeline Funeral Home. Deacon Stephen VanCleve will officiate at the service. Interment will follow at Holy Family Mausoleum.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Friday with a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Saturday until service time.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Molbert passed away at 8:10 pm on Friday, March 1, 2013 at Maison Teche Nursing Home.

Mrs. Molbert was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sibling and friend. Her greatest joy was entertaining her family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Lennet J. Molbert, Jr. and his wife Nancy of Austin, TX; Tressie M. Taylor and husband Glenn and Cheryl A. Molbert all of New Iberia; four grandchildren, Leif Taylor, Sean Molbert, Dr. Lori Taylor and Fiance Dave Serwatka and Leah T. Ignacio and husband Peter and their son Hank Lennet Ignacio.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lennet J. Molbert, Sr.; five brothers and a sister, Wesley, Warren, Ramus, P.D. “Blue” and Chester and Katherine Hayes.

Pallbearers will be members of the family.

Honorary pallbearer is Master Sgt. Leif Taylor, US Army.

The family of Mrs. Molbert would like to thank the wonderful staff of Masion Teche Nursing Center especially the CNA’s who took such great care of our mother (you know who you are). Thanks again from the bottom of our hearts, for a job well done.
