Earline Romero Bourque

NEW IBERIA – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Mrs. Gervis Bourque, Sr., the former Earline Romero, age 75, at 10:00 am Monday, July 7, 2014 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Fr. Garrett Savoie officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Sunday with a Rosary at 6:30 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Monday until service time.

A native of Vermilion Parish and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Bourque passed away at 3:10 pm on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Consolata Nursing Home.

Mrs. Bourque was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, St. Anne’s Altar Society and the Wednesday Ladies Afternoon Club. She most loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Sally Bourque Delahoussaye; sons, Gervis “Butch” Bourque, Jr. and wife Tracie and Mark Bourque and wife Evelyn all of New Iberia; eight grandchildren, Krissi B. Richard and husband Cody; Taylr B. Murphy and husband Tregg; Joani B. Romero and husband Justin; Lance Bourque; Jordan Bourque; Lacie Viator; Reagan Delahoussaye and fiancé Camrie and Brianne Delahoussaye and 10 Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gervis Bourque, Sr; parents, Onezipe and Andrea Lopez Romero; son in law, Ellis “Jr. Boy” Delahoussaye; two sisters, Eunice R. Gary and Ussay “Honi” R. Creech and three brothers, Ewell Romero, Freddie Romero and Stanley Romero, Sr.
