

DELCAMBRE – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Mr. Easton Joseph Alleman, age 81 , at 11:00 am Friday, January 22, 2016 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Fr. Nathan Comeaux officiating. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Lake Mausoleum with military services by Iberia Veterans Honor Guard.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Thursday with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Friday until service time.
A native of Iberia Parish and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Alleman passed away at 11:45 pm on, Monday, January 18, 2016 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Alleman is a veteran of the United States Army who served his country honorably. He was a well service inspector and tool pusher in the oilfield for many years. After his retirement, he spent another 20 years as a grounds keeper at Avery Island. Some of his pastimes included farming, gardening and landscaping and collecting antiques. As a devoted Husband, Father and Grandfather his greatest joy was the time that he spent with his wife and family who will miss him dearly.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ruby Simon Alleman of New Iberia; his children, Katie VanDuzee and husband David; Jerry Alleman and wife Ramona; Cindy Ray and husband Preston; Gail Segura; Dodi Anderson and husband Shannon and Kristi Thibeaux and husband Matthew; fifteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and two sisters, Elodie Blanchard and Elodia Flores.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrus and Neola Bourque Alleman; six brothers, Irving Alleman, Ursey Alleman, Julian Alleman, Ray Alleman, Bernard Alleman, Cleus Alleman and Ulysse Alleman, Sr.; two sisters, Nola Flores and Levee Bergeron and one grandson, Joshua Alleman.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Alleman, Blake Thibeaux, Jason VanDuzee, Austin Alleman Anderson, Shannon Anderson, Preston Ray and Ty Segura.
