Ferrel John Perron

NEW IBERIA – A Memorial Service celebrating the life of Ferrel John Perron will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Friday, September 20, 2019 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church with Fr. Brian Harrington officiating. Inurnment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery. Military honors will be performed by the Iberia Veterans Honor Guard.
A rosary will be prayed before the Mass at 2:45 pm.
A native of Evangeline Parish and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Perron passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at Belle Teche Nursing Home in New Iberia. He was 74.
Mr. Perron was a proud veteran of the US Navy. He was a carpenter by trade and was a very skilled craftsman who enjoyed his work. In his off time he grew a beautiful vegetable garden and loved spending time with his family. Ferrel was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend and will be truly and deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Debra Derouen Perron of New Iberia; one son, Christopher John Perron of New Iberia; two daughters, Amanda Claire Perron of Baton Rouge and Amy Elizabeth Perron VanVleit and husband Jack, III of Lafayette; one sister, Judy Perron Berzas of New Iberia and two grandchildren, Peyton VanVleit and Bailey Segura.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Renise and Irene Guillory Perron; and two sisters, Betty Savoy and Joan Matt.
