Francis Poirrier, a devoted husband, brother, and uncle, peacefully passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on March 30, 2024, at the age of 83. He was born on November 29, 1940, in rural Youngsville to the late Julien Poirrier, Sr., and the late Euphemie Romero Hollier and was one of twelve children.
From a young age, Francis displayed a remarkable talent for working with his hands. At the age of 15, he began his career with M & A Construction. Throughout his career, he also worked with Kingston Construction and Vennis Bourque Construction as a master carpenter until his retirement.
Beyond his professional life, Francis found solace in camping alongside his beloved wife, Lorraine. They also enjoyed RV trips to the Great Smoky Mountains, creating cherished memories with family and friends. Francis also found joy in tending to his vegetable garden, generously sharing his harvest with family and friends.
Lorraine fondly recalls every moment spent with Francis as a cherished memory. Though his presence will be deeply missed, his loved ones find comfort in the belief that Francis has simply gone before them, awaiting a joyous reunion in the future.
