
NEW IBERIA – Funeral Services will be conducted for George Khoury, Jr., age 80, at 10:00 am Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Fr. Blaine Clement officiating. Interment will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Friday with a Rosary at 6:30 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Saturday until service time.
A native and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Khoury passed away at 7:25 pm on Monday, February 22, 2010 at his residence.
Mr. Khoury was employed as a carrier with Railway Express and then as a dispatcher for Larry Verret Trucking for several years. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and was an avid bowler.
He is survived by his sister, Patsy K. Hurt and her husband Wayne of Humble, TX; one niece, Pam H. DeYoung and her husband Richard and their children, Kelly, Kristen and Brian of Humble, TX; two nephews, Mike Hurt and his wife Jan and their children, Tanner and Tucker of Sapulpa, OK and Greg Hurt of Dallas, TX.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Rosa Nassar Khoury, Sr. and one brother, Wayne Khoury.
Pallbearers will be Mike Hurt, Raymond Elias, Richard DeYoung, Alvin Hernandez, Jr., Larry Verret and Victor Verret.
